The Seneca Regional Planning Commission is seeking volunteer leaders who reside in Seneca County, Ohio to join its dynamic board of directors to fulfill the remaining term of the At Large Board Position through December 31, 2024. Seneca Regional Planning Commission’s mission is to provide wise and prudent guidance for the planning and development of land use, infrastructure, and economic growth for the benefit and general welfare of the residents of Seneca County. Board members are actively involved in organizational governance, are expected to attend by-monthly board meetings, participate in at least one board committee, participate in making decision on behalf of the organization, promote the value of the organization to its stakeholders and community members, and board members cannot put personal interests above the interest of the organization.
The board needs a variety of skills, with a strong emphasis on board candidates with planning, development, governmental structure, and land use expertise, as well as those connected to the local non-profits, elected officials of Seneca County, Ohio, and community organizations. Candidates must have a strong commitment to the future of Seneca County, Ohio and a vision for the future.
