NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING #1
Seneca County intends to apply to the Ohio Development Services Agency for fiscal year 2019 funding under the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Small Cities Program. The below mentioned CDBG programs are federally funded and administered by the state. CDBG programs can fund a broad range of planning, community improvement and housing related activities. These activities must be designed to primarily benefit low-moderate income persons, aid in the prevention of elimination of slum and blight, or meet an urgent need within the community. The County is eligible for funds in 2019 as follows:
The first of two public information meetings regarding these programs will be held on Thursday March 21, 2019 at 10:30 AM at the Seneca County Commissioners located at the 111 Madison Street, Tiffin Ohio 44883. This meeting will provide citizens with pertinent information about all of these programs, including an explanation of eligible activities, applicable program requirements, and application due dates. Additionally Seneca County will host the Community Development Implementation Strategy (CDIS) meeting on Wednesday April 3, 2019 at 1:00 PM at the Seneca County Commissioners, 111 Madison Street, Tiffin, Ohio 44883 prior to the second public information meeting. Please RSVP to Seneca Regional Planning Commission if you are planning on attending the CDIS meeting. Further information regarding the CDBG program and the CDIS meeting may be obtained at Seneca Regional Planning Commission located at 71 S. Washington St., Suite 1104, Tiffin, Ohio 44883. Citizens are encouraged to attend these meetings to provide input in the County’s programs.
